Epigenetics in Health
The study of Epigenetics can help many people better understand the health conditions and genetic disease they carry. The Epigenome affects which genes are expressed and may or may not cause the environmental factors you live in to affect you (Citation- "The Epigenetics of Identical Twins") . Even if they do not affect you physically, these environmental factors may still affect what genes are expressed in those that you pass on to your child. For example- If the water supply for say the San Fransisco area was contaminated with Mercury or another common element in the past, it may not affect anyone at that moment, but may affect those people's children due to the fact that it affected their DNA.
